Buses to and from Marseille Airport (MRS)
There are plenty of buses at Marseille Airport that provide transport to various areas. Buses travel to Marseilles, Aix-en-Provence, Digne, Manosque, Le Luc, Saint Maximin, Vitrolles and other destinations. They depart from the airport at regular times from outside the Hall exits of the terminal buildings.
Every 20 minutes there is a shuttle bus that travels from the airport to the Saint-Charles rail station in Marseille. The journey is approximately 25 minutes, depending on the traffic conditions.
Buses travel to Digne and Manosque every day of the week at various times throughout the day. Their destinations are Manosque SNCF, Les Mées, Malijai, Digne Gare SNCF, and Digne Gare routière. Buses also travel from these locations to the airport. To Manosque the average bus fare is about 9 euros and to Digne, about 14.50 euros. Another route that the buses travel, is to Le Luc, Brignoles and Saint-Maximin. There are approximately three departures from the airport to these areas, every day of the week. Buses travel in the opposite direction to Marseille as well. The average fares are 7 euros to St-Maximin, 9 euros to Brignoles and 11 euros to Le Luc.
The bus is an easy and cost-effective way for travel to Aix-en-Provence. This bus is called the Navette, and they depart from the airport every half an hour. There is an extra trip every night at 00:15. The Navette Buses can be found outside Hall 1 of Marseille Airport. They travel to the Aix-en-Provence TGV station. If requested, this bus will make a stop at Parc Club de Golf. From the Aix-en-Provence TGV station, the buses continue to the bus station (gare routière). Close to this bus station is Cours Mirabeau train station and the old town. During the day there are plenty of taxis at the bus station, but they can be scarce at night. If you are driving at night, it would be best call ahead and book a taxi.
Marseille Airport is about 11km from the Aix TGV station and travel time from here to the airport is approximately 15 minutes. Navette buses depart from the TGV station for the airport every 15 minutes. From the Aix-en-Provence Bus Station, buses leave for the airport every 30 minutes between the hours of 4:40 and 22:40, from Monday to Sunday. There is an additional departure every evening at 23:25. The journey time is approximately 30 minutes.
The airport has special shuttle buses that provide passenger transport to the Southern Alps ski resorts. These buses leave the airport every Saturday at 2:15 during the skiing months. Some of the ski resorts are Orcières 1850, Pra Loup, Val d’Allos 1500 (le Seignus) and 1800 (la Foux), Vallee de l’Ubaye, Queyras and many others.
